Day 38 - 137 km

We climbed into Roger’s Pass.  It was a long, steady climb.  We encountered tunnels that protect the road from avalanches.  The walls on either side of the lane made the road space narrow for a bicycle and a logging  truck to be side-by-side.
At the top of Roger’s pass we rested and talked to tourists.  We rode to Revelstoke.  Paul was behind because he stopped to go on a hike to look at some large cedar trees.  Eric had a flat tire so Kosuke, Mike, and I went to the home of our CouchSurfing hosts, Sarah and Rory.
Kosuke and I went to the store to get food to make dinner.  Mike went to the store to get beer.  Eric went to get food for breakfast.  We all helped Kosuke make his recipe for Japanese stew for dinner.
We enjoyed some wine courtesy of Rory.  We camped in the backyard.
