We ate leftovers for breakfast and even brought some for the road. We rode away from Russ’s house at around noon. Our experience with Russ was a great success.
We rode out of Fort Saint John with no problem but after the small town of Taylor we hit a 5 km brutal climb with a headwind.
On Russ’s recommendation I took a short detour off the main road to the Kiskatenaw wooden bridge.
We rode through Dawson Creek and “Mile 0” of the Alaska Highway and took pictures.
Kosuke and I went to Wal Mart and bought ice cream while we waited for Paul. We found a nice campsite in a field of grass just outside Dawson Creek. We slept with the doors of the tent open to allow better ventilation and reduce condensation in the tent.
