We ate breakfast at Subway. I inspected my bike and I noticed that I had 3 broken spokes on the rear wheel. I decided to get the spokes fixed in Jasper.
I did 119 pushups: one for each kilometer. Before we left Grand Cache we met a cyclist named Mike who was riding from Anchorage to Minnesota. We told him he could ride with us and he ended up meeting us about 15 km outside Grand Cache. We had nice sunny weather and a light tailwind.
We got to know Mike a little bit and he rode with us and camped with us.
Later in the day we started seeing the mountains of Banff National Park. Some park service girls gave us tips on what to do in Banff and where to camp. We took their advice and slept in a gravel pit. We had fun sharing our ideas and stories from the trip with Mike that evening.
