Day 34 - 113 km

We woke up to frost on our tents.  My hands were really cold when I started riding in the morning air but I put on my gloves and I was ok.
We rode over some mountains and then we had a long gradual downhill into Jasper.  I was concerned about getting my bike into the shop in Jasper before it closed.  On my way into town I met two cyclists who had rented their bikes from the bike shop that I was intending to go to in Jasper.  I followed them into town and I made it to the bike shop before it closed.  When I got into the shop I noticed Frantz’s bike was there.
The shop mechanic, Derek, said that he could get my bike fixed by 11am the next morning.  I met a guy named Eric who had cycled from New York City.  I introduced him to our group and we met up with Frantz.  We all decided that we would ride to a nearby closed campground and set up our tents without having to pay a fee.  We found a covered area and set up our tents under the roof.
We went into town and had a beer at the Jasper Brewing Company.  After we chatted for awhile I went out onto the town to explore.  The town was pretty quiet.  I met some people from Spain in a bar.  When we went outside the sky was streaked with northern lights and there was a full moon.  People were standing in the streets looking up at the sky.
I rode back to the campsite and went to sleep.
