Day 69 - 84 miles

I was woken up by a park ranger at 7:45 am.  She told me to pack up so I left Cape Arago.
I had blue sky weather and I could see the moon over the ocean to the west.  I had a flat tire (my 6th flat) on my trailer at Sunset Bay Park.
I started having my gears slip.  When I was pedaling especially up hills the drive train would jolt and it hurt my knees.
Mike met me in the morning and we started riding the 7 Devils Road.  The road had 7 steep hills.  My gears were slipping quite a bit on the series of hills.
We reached Bandon and stopped to by food.  Before we left town, Mike went to Dairy Queen and I said I’d meet him up the road.
I rode through Port Orford and I had great views of the beach.
I finished the last Harry Potter audiobook.  I had listened to the entire series of books consecutively on the bike trip.
It started getting dark and I called Mike.  He was in Port Orford.  I was 7 miles from Gold Beach so I turned on my lights and kept riding in the dusk.
I looked for a place to camp in Gold Beach but I had a hard time finding one.  I looked on Google Maps and saw a park and decided I would try there.  I set up my tent and just as I did a hobo came out of the bushes and talked to me.  He camped about 30 feet from where I had setup my tent.  I felt guilty eating in front of him so I skipped dinner and went to sleep.
