Day 59 - 93 miles

In the morning Paul and I went to IHOP for breakfast.  Then we said goodbye to each other and parted ways again.  Paul was headed to Reno to visit family and I was headed back to the Oregon coast.
I rode through Portland and headed out of town to the west.  I got lost a little bit when I tried to get onto Highway 26 in Portland but after a while I figured out how to get onto the highway.  I took Highway 26 to Highway 6 and rode in rain over the Coastal Range to Tillamook.  It was a long, cold, wet ride with a lot of climbing.
It started getting dark and I found my way to Dee, my CouchSurfing host’s house.  The night ride to Dee’s house was perilous because there was a narrow shoulder, it was wet and dark, and several bridges didn’t have much room for a bicycle to ride.
I met Dee at her house and I parked my bike out of the rain.  I brought my clothes to be washed inside the house.  Dee fed me pasta with sauce and she gave me some beer.
Dee was really nice and we chatted for a while before I went to bed.

We slept under a bridge.
